A cut above the rest.
You’ve got to be sharp to be on the cutting edge of the die cutting, splitting and skiving industry. That’s where Hudson Industrial Cutting Solutions division of United Shoe Machinery Corporation has been for decades, and where it is positioned for the 21st century.
Hudson, founded in the mid 1920s as a spinoff of Hudson General Companies in Haverhill, MA, was primarily involved in the rebuilding of footwear machinery and the supply of die cutting presses as, ironically, a competitor to USM.
Over time, as the industry consolidated, USM acquired Hudson in 2002, and in so doing returned die cutting to the USM fold. Later, in 2006, United Shoe Machinery Corporation acquired the assets of USM-U.K., which also owned the Samco cutting press division.
Today, the Hudson Industrial Cutting Solutions division of United Shoe Machinery Corporation has facilities in Haverhill for provision of new and warranty used die cutting, splitting and skiving machinery and supplies.
Hudson enjoys intimate partnerships with Fortuna GmbH of Germany for pioneering splitting and skiving of synthetics, rubber, plastics and leather materials, and with the German company Simona AG, manufacturers of cutting pads. Fortuna and Simona set the world market standards for quality, workmanship and use of the latest technologies.
Likewise, Hudson’s close collaboration with one of the world’s largest and most innovative press manufacturers, Sysco Machinery Corp. of Taiwan, provides premier industrial cutting presses and tailored solutions that have the hallmark of flexibility, reliability and innovation to ensure your requirements and expectations are more than met.
